This guy spawns in the same room as Spine Eater. In the north east corner of the room.

Spawn Loc is 60, -300 in The Head of the Snake.

The spell he casts does not show in log, but this is what I can see.

[Wed Aug 17 01:12:00 2016] Grinder begins to cast a spell.
[Wed Aug 17 01:12:00 2016] You are stunned!
[Wed Aug 17 01:12:00 2016] The ground leaps up and smashes you in the face. You have been healed for 6 points.

Looks like he casts every 25 seconds but it didn't seem to move me much with DMF on. The stun is short duration.

He spawned in room on east side of the middle of the zone for me - there was was 3 trash mobs in room with him, one of which added when you pulled him
